RELAX ON THE WINE TRAIN!
The Cape Cod Central Railroad and Cape Cod Winery are partnering to bring you this unique event. Our Gourmet Wine Tasting Train features a three-hour ride and a custom menu with six appetizers and five 3-ounce pairings of wine from Cape Cod Winery which is located right here on the Cape in beautiful Falmouth! A wine educator will be on board to share information about the wines. Food pairings will emphasize local ingredients to complement the delicious wines. Guest’s will enjoy samples of wines which will be paired with appetizers created especially for this event by the railroad’s executive chef, Peter Bilodeau.
Advanced reservations are required. Fare includes appetizers, wine, and train fare.

Cape Cobb Salad
Mixed field greens with crispy pancetta, craisins, candied walnuts, gorgonzola cheese, and fresh apples in a zinfandel vinaigrette
Paired with: Captain Pete’s Pinot Grigio ~ This special wine is fermented at cool temperatures to retain the enticing floral and fruit in the bouquet.
Cranberry Pecan Crusted Salmon
Pan seared salmon encrusted with cranberries and pecans topped with a cranberry orange glaze
Paired with: Reel Red ~ A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon & zinfandel grapes create this deliciously easy to drink wine that has notes of cherry, raspberry and spice with a smooth finish.
Pan seared chicken breast topped with thinly sliced prosciutto, fontina cheese, and topped with mushroom demi glaze
Paired with: Channel Marker #16 Cabernet Sauvignon ~ The complexity of this wine offers up a rich texture and plentiful flavor with notes of black currents and dark cherry with a hint of vanilla and cocoa.
Homemade pazelli with a strawberry flavored cream cheese filling in a mixed berry compote
Paired with: Blueberry ~ A unique, semi-sweet wine made from a blend of Maine grown blueberries fermented into Nobska Light White wine.
