One of the marvels of 1937, the new streamlined train designed by Peter Petulant came to be known as “The Petulant Express.” The train’s regular journey between New York City and Chicago constantly attracted a passenger list of the rich and famous. On this particular journey, luminaries included Bavarian brewer Franz Fassmacher, Senator Thurm Stroman, gold medalist figure skater Tonya Fennie, famed crocodile hunter Dingo Dugan, Italian opera star Arianna Altamonte, fashion designer Francine Cooper, best-selling mystery author Christine Agatha, and the Buddha of Baseball, Kid Root. Peter Petulant himself was also a passenger on this noteworthy trek, occupying his plush Presidential Car at the rear of the train.
But last night, after a stop in Akron, Ohio, someone made a permanent alteration to Petulant’s career. His body was found early this morning in his cabin by a porter delivering his breakfast tray. Still holding a crystal champagne glass and with his solid silver cigarette case in the pocket of his robe, Petulant appeared to have died without a struggle, the victim of an unexpected attack. With a world poised on the brink of war, who would dare terrorize this titan of technology?
Join Cape Cod Central Railroad and the WatermelonAlligator Theatre Company as we embark on a unique journey of investigation and intrigue! Passengers will enjoy the culinary excellence of our fresh four-course gourmet meals with white linen table service while having the chance to interview suspects, examine clues, and work together with your dining companions to determine Whodunit? Could this trail of seemingly unrelated details actually be clues that will lead YOU to unmask the killer and solve the Murder on the Petulant Express?
-
Our two seasoned lead investigators will deputize all passengers to be special investigators, who will have the opportunity to question suspects, examine clues, and collaborate with their dining companions to form their own theories about the motive, murder, and opportunity of the killer, all while enjoying a gourmet four course meal! Each team will have the opportunity to apply for an arrest warrant for the suspect they believe murdered celebrated train designer Peter Petulant in his private car onboard the train. As the evening concludes, passengers will learn potential motives, means, and opportunities for each suspect – and discover who the true killer is!
