The Conductor will punch every passenger’s golden ticket, just like in the movie, while dancing chefs and waiters bring the story to life right in your train car. You’ll enjoy a reading of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ as you sip rich hot chocolate and snack on Walker’s Shortbread cookies, the official treat of THE POLAR EXPRESS™ Train Ride.
When the train reaches the North Pole, Santa and his elves will step aboard to greet passengers and present each child with a keepsake sleigh bell — the first gift of Christmas! Every passenger will also take home a souvenir golden ticket as a reminder of this unforgettable journey.
Don’t forget to wear your Christmas pajamas for extra festive fun and photo ops!
BEFORE YOU ARRIVE
Please arrive 45 – 60 minutes before departure to allow time for parking and ticket pickup. Boarding begins 30 minutes prior to departure, and the train cannot wait for late passengers.
Due to the popularity of this event, tickets are non-refundable. If you need to reschedule, please contact our reservations office at least 4 days before your trip.
-
Our Standard Class of service is the most economical way to experience our train ride. These are double-decker railcars with seating in rows with 2 seats on one side and 3 seats on the other with an aisle separating them. All passengers on one reservation will be seated together, with larger groups being seated in multiple directly adjacent rows.
Accessibility
Standard Class railcars cannot accommodate wheelchairs as passengers must ascend or descend stairs to reach seating areas.
What’s Included
All passengers will receive a visit from Santa, hot chocolate, Walker’s Shortbread Cookies, a commemorative sleigh bell, and a souvenir Golden Ticket.

Please be advised that an equivalent substitute may be made on the date of travel.
-
First Class passengers enjoy seating in groups of four (either across from each other or in a row) in single-level railcars. Each grouping of four is located next to a window. Based on the number of people in the party, larger groups may be seated across the aisle or adjacent from each other. Seats in First Class have comfortable seats and ample leg room, but do not have a table. Please note: Specific seat configurations vary slightly by car.
Accessibility
All First Class cars can accommodate a limited amount of wheelchairs of any size and select cars have ADA compliant bathrooms. Please select “First Class – Wheelchair” ticket so that we may seat you accordingly.
What’s Included
All passengers will receive a visit from Santa, hot chocolate, Walker’s Shortbread Cookies, a commemorative sleigh bell, and a souvenir Golden Ticket. Adults and children ages 3-12 will receive a reusable plastic Polar Express Tumbler Cup.

-
Enjoy seating for groups of four at tables — each table fits a maximum of four adults or children (ages 3-12). In accordance with railroad safety regulations and for your comfort, we cannot exceed 4 passengers (excluding lap infants) per table. Lap infants (under 2) require a “Adult with Lap Child” option — one lap child per adult – $10 per lap child ticket. Please be sure to select the correct number of passengers when booking as this ensures we will have the correct amount of hot cocoa, cookies, and bells onboard.
Parties of five or more must either reserve multiple tables or may wish to consider Standard or First Class seating for their entire party.
PLEASE NOTE: Purchasing two different classes will result in your party being split and seated in different rail cars!
Every table is next to a window, and larger groups may be seated across the aisle or directly adjacent to each other. Seating includes either padded dining chairs in a restored single-level 1937 vintage car or fixed booth seating in the lower level of a dome car (passengers must descend 4 stairs to access this area).
Accessibility
Our 1937 vintage railcars are able to accommodate a limited number of wheelchairs up to 26″ in width for those unable to transfer to a seat once onboard. Please note that accessible restrooms are not available in these cars due to the historical nature of our equipment.
If a passenger has a physical limitation that requires a certain type of seating—such as a movable chair instead of a fixed booth—please note this in the “comments” section when booking, and we will do our best to accommodate your needs.
Photos: Deluxe Class seating may be in either the lower level of our dome car (first photo) or a single-level vintage 1937 car (second photo).

-
Premium Class is the luxurious way to travel on THE POLAR EXPRESS Train Ride! Passengers enjoy plush, booth seating at tables of four (or a limited number of tables of six) which are located in the upper level of our dome car with panoramic windows. Based on the number of people in the party, passengers may be seated at multiple adjacent tables.
Each table fits a maximum of four or six adults or children (ages 3-12). In accordance with railroad safety regulations and for your comfort, we cannot exceed 4 passengers (excluding lap infants) per 4-top table or 6 passengers per 6-top table (excluding lap infants).
NOTE: There is only one table of six per dome car. Parties larger than six who want to book the 6-top will also need to book table(s) of four to accommodate the rest of their party. Booking two 6-tops for the same date will result in your party being split up between two different cars. For assistance, please email us at [email protected] or call us at 888-797-7245.
Accessibility
Premium Level seating is located on the second level of a bi-level railcar. Once onboard, passengers must ascend 6 stairs (with a railing) to access the seating area. Guests will then need to step up slightly and slide into the booth-style seating, similar to a restaurant booth.
Please also keep in mind that there is limited space between the seat and table. Passengers desiring more space may choose First or Deluxe Class.
What’s Included
All passengers will receive a visit from Santa, hot chocolate, Walker’s Shortbread Cookies, a commemorative sleigh bell, and a souvenir Golden Ticket. Adults and children ages 3-12 will receive a ceramic Polar Express Mug.

We strive to accommodate all passenger needs to the best of our ability.
General Accessibility
Passengers with limited mobility should consider booking Deluxe Class or First Class seating. Standard and Premium Class seating areas are accessed by ascending and/or descending stairs once onboard.
Due to the historic nature of our railcars, seating can vary in size and layout. Some configurations are more “snug” than others, so we encourage guests to view photos of their selected Class of Service before booking.
Wheelchairs
A wheelchair lift is available and limited wheelchair seating is offered in our First Class cars and our Deluxe Class Table Cars for those unable to transfer from a wheelchair to a seat.
Our 2 Deluxe Class cars can each accommodate up to 2 wheelchairs up to 26” wide. Due to the historic nature of our equipment, accessible restrooms are not available in Deluxe Class.
Our First Class cars can accommodate wheelchairs of any size. Accessible restrooms are available in these railcars. Please be sure to purchase a “First Class – Wheelchair” ticket.
Please specify your specific needs in the “comments” box when booking or contact us at [email protected] or 888-797-7245.
