Race Point Dining Car

Named after Cape Cod's Race Point area, this luxurious dining car is one of three that make up the regular Elegant Dinner Train consist. It is also used on the Cape Cod Central's Family Supper Train and Gourmet Luncheon Train.

History:

• Built by CC&F in 1942.
  
• Former VIA/CN Railroad 5300
  
• Former Cape Cod & Hyannis Railroad 5300
  
• Former Cape Cod Railroad "Race Point"

• Completely rebuilt by Cape Cod Central shops between 2001 & 2002 seasons: interior completely gutted and rebuilt, air conditioning installed, all windows replaced, exterior repaired and repainted.
